If MythTV is not able to start recording and the log shows "v4l2: Unable to set desired format", it may be that VBI is interfering. On my system, the Audio Out is connected to the Line In port on my sound card. You need to set this as v4l and it will work.) (Note that MythTV may try to configure this as an IVTV device. The Hauppauge WinTV-USB2 is an external video capture device that registers as a v4l2 device and works with MythTV, TVtime, and xawtv.
